Bids to host 2024 National Events are now open

August 11, 2023

ROAR is seeking proposals from facilities interested in hosting the 2024 ROAR National Championship events.

ROAR National Championships are some of the most important and prestigious championships held in the ROAR block. They are the place where racers across the ROAR block countries come together and compete for the title ROAR NATIONAL CHAMPION. Selected events each year also provide a path for competitors in the ROAR block to qualify for IFMAR World Championships. Submitting facilities should be a ROAR Affiliated Club/Track (https://roarracing.com/join.php).

ROAR will be holding 7 National Championship events in 2024. The suggested or typical time frame for each event is noted in parentheses along with expected or typical number of racers. Facilities making proposals should be certain they can accommodate the expected number of racers.

10th Scale Carpet Onroad National Championship (early March, 200+ racers)

10th Scale Electric Carpet Offroad National Championship (early spring, 200+ racers)

Fuel Offroad National Championship (mid June, 300+ racers)

Electric 8th Scale Offroad National Championship (mid July, 100+ racers)

Electric Paved National Championship (late July, 100+ racers)

10th Scale Electric Dirt Offroad National Championship (mid to late August, 150+ racers)

Fuel Onroad National Championship (October, 100+ racers)

Facilities interested in submitting proposals should carefully read the ROAR National Guidelines https://www.roarracing.com/downloads/roarnationalsguidelines.pdf and complete the Nationals Bid Template https://roarracing.com/forms/Nationals-bid-template.doc . Please provide all the requested information. Add any additional information you feel helps to present your track as the best choice to host the event. Host tracks must be ROAR members. Proposals should be received by September 30th in order to receive full consideration. Proposals received after September 30th may be considered if agreed by a majority of the Executive Committee.

Proposals should be sent via email to compdir@roarracing.com. Questions can be directed to that email address or president@roarracing.com

ROAR National events are run by the ROAR Race Management Team at the selected host track. ROAR is responsible for conducting the event and the host track is responsible for providing the infrastructure needed for a National caliber event (including adequate internet access) as well as providing any sales of specified products, concessions, etc. Host tracks are required to provide a minimum of 2 people to assist the Race Management Team. ROAR provides all trophies for the event at ROAR’s expense.
